Shiga Kogen Yakebitaiyama Ski Area

Map DownLoadShiga Kogen is made up of 18 ski areas covered by one lift pass. There are approximately 80 trails offering a large variety of terrain for any type of skiers and snowboarders. There is also a free shuttle bus service that transports guests around the region. Thanks to Shiga Kogen’s high-altitude, which rises to over 2,000m, the area receives large quantities of dry powder snow. The largest individual ski area is Yakebitaiyama, which has 15 trails, including a long 2,500m trail. Yakebitaiyama’s Olympic Trail was the location for the Snowboard Men’s & Women’s Giant Slalom and Alpine Skiing Men’s & Women’s Slalom during the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics.
